VIETNAM QUIDDITCH ASSOCIATION

ABOUT US

Vietnam Quidditch Association (VQA) proudly serves as the national governing body for quidditch in Vietnam. In our inaugural year, we hosted the groundbreaking Asian Quidditch Cup in 2017, marking the first-ever gathering of 5 teams from 4 countries in the Asian Pacific region, fueling the growth of the sport.

Despite financial challenges and visa obstacles, we persevered and sent Team Vietnam to the IQA World Cup 2018 in Florence, Italy, after a highly successful fundraising campaign. Proudly securing a notable 15th rank out of 29 teams, we emerged as the highest-ranked Asian representatives in the largest international quidditch tournament.

Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we made a triumphant comeback in 2022, organizing the highly anticipated 4th Asian Pacific Quadball Cup. This momentous event brought together over 100 players from at least 7 countries across 6 continents, showcasing the international appeal and flourishing growth of quidditch in Vietnam.

With a thriving community and the active participation of five teams, we are dedicated to nurturing the continued development of quidditch in Vietnam, fostering a strong sense of community, promoting the sport, and proudly representing Vietnam in global competitions.
